- brishifrinJan 18, 2022Self LoveI am currently writing at 12:43 a.m. with a thumping heart and a big smile. Today is my birthday and I feel like a happy little butterfly just flapping my wings. Today begins my 20th year in this extraordinary life filled with more challenges, opportunities, laughs, smiles, and purity. I am overwhelmed by all of what has gotten me to this point in my life- the moments, experiences, people, passions, and desires. I am so proud to be me and celebrate another year of me being the best version of myself. As every year passes on so quickly it is important to measure our growth and acknowledge our development. I am so grateful for my life and set forth new goals for my twentieth year here in this life: 1. Land a co-op with Johnson and Johnson for the Spring 2022 season 2. Continue to radiate positivity and joy in my daily life 3. Maintain confidence and love for myself 4. Stay fit and active 5. Maintain a 3.5 gpa 6. Build a strong connection with my mentor 7. Embrace everyone around me 8. Maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle while setting both academic and gym oriented goals for myself. 9. - brishifrinJan 13, 2022Tips on Being HappyI find it to be very fulfilling within to practice healthy habits in my everyday life. It is important for me to make sure I am drinking lots of water, reading, writing, exercising both my mind and my physical body. I find listening to music to be a very positive outlet, therefore I devote time to musicality. Whether it is a car ride with blasting music or working out with music in the background, I believe music is great for the soul and keeps one evolving. Writing brings me pure enjoyment. I genuinely feel at peace when I am writing and find it to be a great way to connect with my feelings. I used to dance everyday, but as I grow older I find writing to be a beautiful substitute to connect with my inner peace. I find beauty in being in touch with my emotions and I think it is interesting to see how I formulate my words as expressions of my feelings. Whether I am experiencing super positive emotions or unsettling emotions, writing gives me an opportunity to connect with myself. The older I get the more I pay attention to song lyrics because a huge part about singing is being passionate about your emotions and given those emotions, you write honest song lyrics. If the song writer conveys their feelings honest enough through the lyrics, there can be a very magical transfer of energy from them to you. Finally, physical exercise is a healthy habit that I practice everyday. When I go to the gym I set different goals and test my own mental limits as well. The best feeling is leaving the gym in a sweat and feeling very accomplished. Objectively, everyone should acknowledge the activities that bring joy to their lives and put them into practice everyday (or most days). It is important to do things that will leave you feeling satisfied and proud of yourself. Keep challenging yourself and stay motivated in this life.Like
- brishifrinJan 07, 2022Set GoalsThroughout my life, I have always found my greatest achievements to be in areas where I am able to express myself. Some of the most common areas being dance, public speaking, and writing. I have always worked extremely hard in my academics, but it never came easy for me. I never felt as though I was truly able to express myself in academics, besides writing. It wasn't until I got accepted into the Rutgers Business School, that is when I grew true passion for academics. This is when academics grew into a foreseeable future and reality for me. I was no longer studying the textbook, I was no studying my future. The knowledge I will gain at the Rutgers Business School will set me up for my utmost future success. I am now studying concepts that I am curious about and that I yearn to know more about. Now when the Amazon truck delivers my package, I see more than just a man with a brown wrapped box. I see the behind the scenes production and distribution processes that no one tells you about when your package is sitting at your front door step. Point being, I am now studying real life, day to day concepts that I am excited about! I am objectively trying to get at a bigger point. I never thought I was academically capable of getting into the Rutgers School of Business, but here I am. You never know where this life will lead you, so never stop believing in yourself. The truth is, if you want it bad enough, you will work for it and attain it. I am very proud of this personal accomplishment and it goes to show that setting goals and working hard will ultimately get you where you truly see yourself.
