This is my Nonna and my cousin's baby, Ryan. Both of which I truly adore.
Each time I look at this picture I see such juxtaposition in each person's age as well as in life. There is so much beauty in the birth of a child, so pure and so full of youth. So much to explore. Babies are untouched and premature to opinions and hatred. If only everyone's brain remained the way it is at birth, then there would be less intentional pain and hurting.
Now take a look at my Nonna, she has clearly aged over time and she carries everything that Ryan has yet to uncover about the world. She has experienced life, so full of color and emotions, nothing to what Ryan has begun to explore. Yet, in the hands of pure experience lies an infant child.
Regardless of the ages, or stages in their lives, both individuals above symbolize beauty. Whether you are nearing an end, or starting a new beginning, there is so much to explore and everything is unknown. How is it that we start off so minuscule and empty and grow into full functioning beings who embody every emotion possible? Life is amazing, so cherish everyday and be grateful for yourself and those around you.
