Creating bright, refreshing meals is very exciting! Instead of "eating healthy" think about it like starting an art project- try to construct a masterpiece of vibrant colors and delicious flavors. Believe it or not, fruits and vegetables acquire phenomenal tastes and add a lot to a dish. Initially, I dreaded eating well and always thought I was depriving myself from the more attractive meals I could have been having. At the end of the day, however, you are not treating your body right if you are eating poorly. You are only doing yourself an injustice, and don't forget, the taste only lasts seconds as it goes down your throat. Personally, eating heavy, delicious foods has always left me feeling full and uncomfortable. I much rather prefer to eat lighter and receive the proper nutrients needed to correctly fuel my body. Also, healthy foods-consisting of proper nutrients and fats- are proven to leave you full for a longer amount of time due to the slower rate of stomach emptying.
